Alcohol and Crimes

An evening trip to the liquor store ended in a stay at the county jail for a local resident of Waldo County. The man was charged by the local police with drug and alcohol-related crimes. The 24-year-old man had spent the majority of his evening at a local bar and grille and stay there until they were getting ready to close the bar.

The man had been cut off, and the bartenders had refused to serve him anymore to drink towards the end of his time at the bar. The bartender saw that the man was leaving in his vehicle and called the police to alert them of the drunk man getting behind the wheel of a car while intoxicated.

The police officer stopped the man near the liquor store and found that he had a blood alcohol content of 0.1 percent. However, this isn’t where the night ended. Things got progressively worse for all the people involved. When the man was brought into the county jail to be booked, they found a number of different drugs on him. When the man was confronted about the drugs, he became violent and attempted to violently assault one of the officers due to still being heavily intoxicated from the alcohol.
